    Ek1 1914 godet

I would greatly appreciate your comments on this one gents. Is it an original WWI era EK1? It is three piece magnetic core, and the pin is also hallmarked 800, or 900. Thanks in advance.

          Miro is correct.
It's a new fake. I have seen these posted on ebay with different makers marks
and different reverse hardware. All were pretty convincing until you checked
          the details.

            Hi Chuck,

The guy selling these on eBay out of Florida under the user ID of "thedevelopment" (I believe that is the eBay ID he is using) has listed several various fake 1st Class Iron Crosses lately with lower "buy-it-now" prices. Sorry to see you got one of these. Will he take it back?

            Best Regards,

            Alan

Agree, a poor fake. Nothing in common with a high quality Godet cross.

                Thanks gents... much appreciated.

Alan, he says he has a 10 day return policy. I'll let you know how that goes.

                Best Regards,

                Chuck

Does anybody know where these modern fakes are coming from?
