    835 is a known silver content for German rings, so I would agree. I also agree it’s early, probably just a persons initials on the cartouche. Likely it held a photo or portrait of a loved one or sweetheart. Only poisonous if the relationship went south during the absence..,;

      hi
      thank's

      I thought about the picture but it's really too small
      1cm by 1.3cm, impossible to put a picture
      but it's deep (3.5 / 4 mm)

        I could see some very strong powder form of poison, say cyanide, in the compartment. Then just pop it open and dump it in the target's drink while he's not looking. Cool item.

          If it would be poison, it would be more likely arsenic. Cyanide powder is unstable and evaporates or reacts with air humidity quickly (remember Zyclon-b in gas chambers) and it also reacts with metals so it's unsuitable as poison in powder form to carry in a ring.

            Arsenic, even better. Would give time for a getaway.

              It is more likely to store a lock of hair from a loved one
