I never heard of a lump sum-- and it was QUITE a lump, for those days!-- payment for this, or any other German Order before.
I am aware, of course, that a number of decorations carried with them rather nominal monthly stipends, but this is news to me!
Note that Spang has written "I never recieved this payment" in the lower right!
