    German sword, 1848 Revolution

I've not seen another like this (but there's a lot I've never seen!)... I don't know the pattern and it's etched Fur Gott a Recht erinneruna m 13.14.15. Marz 15-26 Mai 1848. ...the dates of the German Revolution. Anything you can share, appreciated!

Thanks! My apologies for my incorrect spellings.
Does anyone recognize the sword pattern and any more info anyone can share about German Revolution presentation swords?
It's etched similar to many swords and bayonets I've had with service time remembrances and patriotic motifs, but this is the earliest I've encountered.

            Other side says:

            „Erinnerung an 13. 14. 15. März 15. 20. Mai 1848“

From the engraving it could be also Austrian.

I bought a similar sword recently from an old Boston estate , but could not place it as it has no markings but its similar to yours , with the sword loops looking like fried eggs

Great sword Robb and yes, I tihnk Austrian!
Angolia's Sword of Germany P. 466 shows this sword, with it's unique scabbbard ring fittings, as a Baden Infantry Officer’s pattern. The text notes that it was influenced by the Austrian Infantry pattern and the dates coincide well with events in the Austrian Revolt.
A ‘peasants revolt’ began in early March 1848 and the dates of March 13-15 coincide with the Vienna Uprising. May 15-26 coincides with the period when the Austrian Defense Ministry was lynched and the Emperor was forces to flee Vienna.
