Great WWI & WWII Ribbon Bar for id please

Just picked these up today. They came out of the same vets house but I don't know if they came from the same soldier. I'm not very schooled on Imperial ribbon bars but I can see this one looks special. Hoping somebody can help me id them.

    Thanks in advance.

Clearly not from the same soldier. The small ribbon bar looks ok. IC 2nd cl 1914, 1934 Hindenburg cross and Luftwaffe distinguished service award.

I have my doubts about the big one being original.

It is original, no doubt. It was found in an attic and sold to me for very little money. It's also being discussed on the TR era forum. It seems this soldier was a Baron and was awarded some very high orders including the Bulgarian Military Merit Order/Bravery Order. I never heard of this award or any of the others on this bar, and the who sold it to me didn't even know it was German.

Hardly a convincing response. It is original because:
          1. it was found in an attic,
          2. sold for very little money,
          3. I never heard of this award or any of the others,
          4. the guy who sold it to me did not even know it was German.

          Sorry just could not resist.

Please see for my further reaction the TR thread: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=961025

Thanks a lot, lol! I was trying to make the point, the guy who sold it to me wouldn't have gone through all the trouble to fool me for a few bucks.....it was found with other 100% original WWI and WWII items, in an attic, local vets estate.

I had to do some digging because I've seen this type of attachment of devices before. I believe this bar is a fine example to a Major or LtCol.

                Hi Don,

Thanks for chiming in here. Agreed; most likely a field officer.

But can it be identified? I don’t think so (hopefully I am wrong). Still, a nice bar.
