    stahlrohrlanze M 93 pick up

    from last week pick up this nice stahlrohrlanze well regimental marked
    a long piece of steel but it go on my vw golf locking for the right
    wimpel for this piece . if anyone have pic of a such piece please post it or when
    you know a guy that have one for sell please contact me .

      The German issue ones are not often seen outside of a few museums. Yours appears to experimental or trials type with ball behind the tip. One of the few that I have seen. I have a much earlier one dated 1891 I think but is actually the 1893 pattern so it should not exist, but it does! It is either a pre-adoption example or a 1891 head used on the 1893 model. Either way good by me.

      I have a couple of period pennants but none for sale. They can be found but it just takes some digging

        Do you have Pictures of your pennants ? What pennant would be correct for my Stahlrohrlanze

          I can email you photos of the lance and pennants. One that I have is the Prussian NCO style with eagle. The other one is red and white from Hesse.

          As far as I know Trier was part of Prussia and if I am correct the troopers pennant would then be Black and White. It would be mounted with the white at the top toward the point so that when wet the back would not discolor the white or at least the claim goes.

          These are secured with a leather lace that passes through the brass studs

                White-black pennant is correct. Corporals had a Prussian eagle on it to boot.
