Assistance with Small Gold Skull Nr# Pin

Hi Folks: Years ago, I picked this group up in Massachusetts....I picked this group up with a Mein Kampf book dated 1932 in English and a bunch of WWI German medals. At the estate auction were also KKK white robes and swords...which really was a 1st for me...and people bought them.....but I guess people thought the same when I bought this stuff (smile).

The gold skull is small pin-back with green stone (emerald?) eyes and has a # 9477 engraved on the back. There is also a loop where it appears that it was attached to a chain. What is it?

I have not seen one exactly like yours before but I have seen an old stickpin
that is in the same style.

Yes...I've seen similar skulls....but this is too elaborate ..a lot of detail... intricate work...along with a number # 9477 Could be a Sweetheart pin or ?? When I talk about elaborate/detail/intricate...I'm talking about the pin & locking catch along with the number...workmanship. It's not cheaply made....a piece of jewelry for sure. Of course it doesn't have a silver/gold content mark...so...I maybe wrong.
