                  I think it is a 1914 cross that's been bastardized. To me, the frame beading
                  looks all wrong for a early cross.

                      Thanks for your comments guys. I assumed as much, but wanted to be sure. One thing that strikes me is that the beading is very worn but the velvet not so much. You'd think it would be worn smooth in places, especially where the beading is most worn.

                          Not so sure it is a 1914 that has been messed with, but the core certainly gives the impression of being fake. Curious why you think it's a 1914?
