      Reverse...

      ...I think.

This piece not frequently seen. For what purpose was it awarded?

I like the Prinzen size pin back... haven't seen many of those.

the oldenburg haus orden was awarded for loyality, merit ... (like the lower classes of other haus orders from other states) - because before the war, there were not that much awards to give for "normal" award purposes.

Found this thread, let's bring it back to life

I have always liked the outlook of these crosses, and finally got my own one.
I'm sure you guys have also something like this hidden under your sock shelf - time to show them to others now

So... Here's my start - got this just today.

Hausorden von Herzog Peter Friedrich Ludwig, 2nd class, with crown and swords.

(sorry for so many pictures, but I really like this award....)

edit: just realized the first pictures were too "golden" colored, I tweaked them a little to make them look more realistic color (cross is silver colored)

Doesn't anyone else have these in their collections??? (no, I really dont think so)

I'll add my contribution. Since getting my first two, I've been able to add a FA 2nd class and a ribbon bar.

Which rank that bigger one gold colored on the left is?
