The C-U frame
a possible cousin to the Alphabet frame.
a possible cousin to the Alphabet frame.
The alphabet frame has been studied well by Biro, and talking about the Alphabet frame without including Biro's study in it would almost be a crime
A link to his study --> The Alphabet frame
The frame I have started to call the C-U frame is disturbingly close to the Alphabet frame, in both bead counts and details. Which makes me to strongly believe they're somehow related.
Why I call it the C-U frame, it's due to the shape of the left side upper and lower inner corners. The name does as well give a hint on the quickest way to distinguish it from the Alphabet frame.
The C-U frame in this study is my own, and it has interestingly a stepped core.
Differences in the upper left inner corner
- The Alphabet frame has on the left upper inner corner beads shaped like a F and/combined N.
- The C-U frame has, as the name gives a hint, a shape more reminding of a C.
Differences in the left lower inner corner
- The Alphabet frame has a beading shaped like an E.
- The C-U frame has a beading shaped like an U.
These crosses have made me scratch my head a few times, I've rotated pictures over and over and other things just to make sure these are different.
What I've noticed is that the Alphabet frame can be around both A and B cores, but so far I haven't seen a C-U frame in a B core.
I'm looking forward for critic or discussion.
