    Hi All,

Does anyone have any info about this maker, we know the LV 26 is a aunknown maker, but we can not find any info about LV 24. Any info is appreciated.

    Thanks

Nice cross. LV 24 is also unknown, as it is probably the same maker as any other LV plus number.

        Hi,

according to book by Frank Wernitz, LV = Lieferungsverband für Eiserne Kreuze in Berlin (Association of Iron Cross Suppliers in Berlin). Number after the LV abbreviation is possibly an individual supplier's number - but they are in fact not known.

        regards
        Tomasz

This frame, very distinctive in style, apparently thin in design, having quite straight arms for 1914 standards and sharp inner corners, appears on LV crosses regardless of number they bear.
Which would speak against theory of different suppliers connected only by identical distributor.
But we already know Wernitz and his scrabble theories...
