    Hindenburgkreuz 1914-1918 question ?

    Hello,<o =""></o>

I bought these two medals this week and I would like to know what would be the normal price for these with the documents. Just to know if I haven't been ripped off.<o =""></o>

the prices differ on the mm of the cross, on the autograph of the doc, the awarding city and the job of the awadee (because they are more or less common and many collect different jobs, mms of the crosses or only groups awarded to people in their area).
and then, the frontfighter cross is much more common than the noncombattant version - and the widows cross is the rarest one of those 3.

but i would say, that for around 30 dollar for one grouping will be a fair price (without looking at one of the reasons stated above)

Thanks Christian. i didn't know there was so many that could change the price of the award. Well that's my first start with WWI medals, so I will have to learn lot more.

If you mean $30 for each set (of medal and doc) I agree. Both docs are nice and clean, as are both medals. The medals are common (at least the HK w/swords is) but the combination of w/swords and without, along with their respective docs make for a *very* nice display. Good buy, Soviet.<!-- / message -->

Another factor that affects the value of the cross, is the actual construction of the medals. Usually, they are made of bronzed steel or iron, but there are exist real bronze crosses, which are rare.

So I guess that was a fair price. I paid them 23 EUR each.
