    Nice find

Friend of mine just bought this grouping. He was saying that middle medal was gold so he wanted me to ask you guys if he is right. I do not know anything about imperial medals so any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you
    Regards RD

Great group I am not familiar with the "center" medal but
the iron cross is a hard to find variation.

Hi - a nice find. I am from Württemberg (southern Germany)

The military merit medal is a late war piece made of 333/1000 Gold. The are rare but not ultra rare (ultra rare = early pieces 986 or 585/ gold) The award numbers were ~ 4300 pieces.

The KMST Iron cross was produced by the Stuttgart (Königlichen) Münzamt (mint) Stuttgart. The guy must have been a Lieutenant/1st Lieutenant or a Feldwebelleutnant. In that position he also got the bavarian MVO4X.

i think he was a state citizen of Württemberg. (IC - MMM - on last pos. bavarian MVO4X) or he had his roots in Württemberg and served in a bavarian regiment... i am not sure because of the different Feldspangen.

Later he got the KVK 2 (reactivated veteran)

                Do you have a name?

The 'A' cypher badge on the red ribbon with thin green stripes is the Bavarian Prinz-Alfons-Erinnerungszeichen given out in the late 1920s-1930s as an unofficial commemorative award for veterans by Prince Alfons, Maria, Franz, Clemens, Maximilian of Bavaria. This one is on what is called the "Hubertusband" (Hubertus ribbon) for members of hunt clubs.

Gold Medal if not rare is certainly not often seen. A wonderful group.

I need a closeup of the two Feldspangen. I would like to proof something.
