WWI German Pilot Oberleutant Paul v. Zenker

I am wondering if anyone has any information on a WWI Pilot named Paul Von Zenker. I think he transfered to flight from the Infantry (1. (Leib) Grenadier Regiment 100) later in the War. I think he had a Brother, Werner who was shot down in 1916.

    Thanks,

    J

I looked up Zenker in "Casualities of the German Air Service 1914-1920" by N.Franks, F. Bailey, and R. Duiven. A Werner is listed: Zenker, Werner ; rank Ltn.; Birthdate 13 July, 1893.; place of birth Dresden; shot down 3 August,1916, died Sept. 13, 1916. No Paul is listed, just Kurt with a different place of birth, and is an enlisted man.
If he is the brother of Paul, there is no"von" in the Zenker family's name. Hope this helps somehow.

      Hi Johnny

It did exist an Paul Zenker (w/o von) who became an Oberst during WW2. He was born 12.05.1896 in Saalfeld, maybe him ?

It also served an pilot Uffz Zenker in the later Saxon FAA 208 in the summer of 1917. This might the flyer who was promoted Lt dR (Meiningen) on 07.04.1918.

Werner Zenker had only one brother, Christian Volkmar Zenker, *22.12.1895 in Dresden, KIA 17.4.1915 as a Leutnant in 2./IR 105.
