        info

His first rank is scratched out and his rank is then given as "Gefreiter" or corporal and he was also in the first company " 1. Kp. ".

Wilhelm Lechner, *10.11.1881 in Oberköst, Bamberg II.

He served from 1903 to 1905 in the Bavarian 5. Infanterie-Regiment, and was called up in 1914 in Bavarian Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 4. He was wounded on 7 April 1915 by a mine fragment in the left temple. He was promoted to Gefreiter on 20 January 1917, and was transferred to 1. Landsturm-Infanterie-Bataillon Regensburg on 22 August 1917. He was released from active duty on 27 November 1918.

            Decorations:
            • Bavaria: Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with Swords (Militär-Verdienstkreuz 3.Klasse mit Schwertern) (15.3.17)
            • Prussia: Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2.Klasse) (6.6.17)
            • Bavaria: Service Decoration 3rd Class for 9 Years' Service (Dienstauszeichnung 3.Klasse für 9 Jahre) (1.6.18)
            • Germany: Wound Badge in Black (Verwundetenabzeichen in schwarz) (Aug. 18)

Some of the information above I supplemented from the Kriegsstammrolle of the 1.Landsturm-Infanterie-Bataillon Regensburg. You also have some of the standard stuff on the pages you show, such as immunizations for cholera and typhus and various periods of leave (Beurlaubung).

I know it's a longshot but is there any chance someone knows where to find a picture of him?
