In my opinion this is just a collectors copy. Because the frame is S&L like from World War 2 / post war era. Nothing for Veterans as Trevor said.

      Hi Gew44/Max,

Not after WWII because the veterans in life would be not more ...
Do vou really believe, that the makers of the copies/fakes produced only for veterans?

I think, that they produced them primary to earn money as a priority.

If this was produced after 1960, would I be right in assuming S&L used the same dies for frames that were used in WW2? Frames left over from the war?

          Hi speedytop,
          you have right.

I not thought before the answer, in my mind is ever present the soldier/veteran who bought them after they campaigns.

          Thanks for your input.

Same frames were used also for 1957 (denazified) version of Iron Cross 2nd class. Besides, S&L is known as producer of several decorations for collectors or museums purposes only. Nothing bad, if you are full informed, what you buy
