Zahringen Lion Question

I've recently acquired a OZL and was wondering what the three oval objects are in front of the castle. I've done searches, until I was cross eyed, to no avail.

Well, I did a little more digging and got a response from a fellow in Baden Germany as to what the three objects are in front of the Zahringen Castle ruins.

Here is what he said: Da hawwa ma drei badische schoof und des annere sin bad`sche hängekadoffl

Baden slang translated:

"There we have three Baden sheep and the others are Baden hanging potatoes"


He has a Baden sense of humor.
