I need some help about these Kaiserliche Marine Tellermütze:
Is these cap used by combat units or some kind of merchant units?
Cap is original? Any traces of repairs or restoration?

A nice issue type imperial era navy Tellermütze. I have one just like it though with an earlier date (1915). The pressed paper cockade is typical of navy issue, though I have mostly seen it on white top caps.

This type of cap could have been worn (probably with a different band) on board a ship or in the combat zones in Flanders. With this band (silver wire) it represents the technical branch.

If I wanted one, I would buy this cap, if the price was anywhere near reasonable.
