Fob with EK2 and Uboot medallion

    Hello,
Posting these for a friend and don't have easy access to more photos if needed. Can an EK expert confirm the maker - I think it may be LW but not sure? Also, the uboot badge is interesting. I looked the date up and found it is the day Germany declared unrestricted uboot warfare on all shipping to the Allies. I'm not sure exactly who the Greek/Roman goddess is that it depicts and also not sure if it for or against the declaration of unrestricted submarine warfare. What do you folks think?
    Thank you,
    Dale

LW is the maker mark on your EK II, we don't know who that is as of yet.

In Wernitz book LW is attributed to Louis Werner, Hofjuwelier in Berlin

"Attributed to" being the key phrase here, yes?

Yes, but Louis Werner was confirmed supplier of EK2 to Generalordenskommission during the WW1 (i.e. in 1916 more as 5000 every month) and possibly no other maker in this period had matching initials. So, the attribution is really very likely

Thanks for the help guys! LW it is, though I shall remain outside of the debate as to who the letters stand for.
