    Prussian flight badge (quadrat)

    Hi ,
sharing a new badge I recently got, a rather textbook (at least for me) one piece Quadrat/dillenius pilot badge .
The details on this maker are really crisp and nice!
You never end learning in this stuff ....so any input /criticism greatly appreciated
    ciao Mario

    I like, what I see!
A presumably later variant with the typical 2 o'clock die- flaw between Taube and wreath.
This specimen is still missing in my collection - if you want to trade it: I have a textbook one-piece Juncker for you....
    Regards
    Hagrid

Beautiful, personally I like Quadrant better than Juncker but that's just me. I have this maker in Pilot and searching an observer by this maker

I don't know if Mario's badge is good or not. From the comments I assume it
is a good one. But I do have to say that it is about the best detailed
pilots badge I have ever seen. If I were ever to buy one, I would want one
            just like this one.

              Just for your comparison:

              Questionable issue... (cast IMO)

In my opinion this maker made the detailed badges together with Juncker.
When we talk about the navy aviation badges I think that this maker made the most detailed badges, imho better than Schaper.

                Kind regards
                Alex

Just curious: Mario1's badge has a thin line forward of the top aircraft rigging extending to the wreath. The link in Post 7 above of Stormfighter's badge has what appears to be the same line. Yet Don D.'s badge doesn't have this line.

                  Any significance to that detail?

Don's badge is an earlier one, made with an intact die. As an result of the immense pressure applied during the stamping process the die cracked in this area after awhile and all badges made after that showed the "positive" of the crack as a thin line.

Thank you Hagrid. After some further research, I found this mentioned in other posts as well .
