    German tunic ???

    Hi

I just bought this German tunic. It is from 1900-1920 I guess.
Does anybody recognize this one ??
It has one breast pocket and is made from cotton , at least it does not look like this typical wool.

    Thanks

I was going to say before reading your avatar that the fabric struck me as Dutch! The fabric is not wool but rather cotton. I know nothing of this particular style other than it is not German.....although it may have been used by them as some point for some purpose. I suspect that it may be a Dutch military or some civil organization work or mechanics type jacket from maybe WWI-1930 or so. No idea on the buttons.....I doubt that they are what would have been used on this.....just a guess.

          Hi
Thanks for your reply. Indeed the collar looks Dutch. I have never seen this tunic, with only one breast pock, before.

          Any other comments ??

          Marcel
