Before I start please visit the rink of the medal bar.
Just in case here's the photo of the website if you can't use the rink
It's kinda nosy to write this but I think this need to be pointed out for my plan on this medal bar.
As you can see if you know well about the German states medals, the second from the left medal doesn't matches with ribbon which is simply we can say wrong, fixed, violated or even covfefe.
For those who don't know well, that yellow ribbon indicates the awards of Reuss or Waldeck und Pyrmont, however the medal attached is for post world war 1 veteren award(Kyffhäuser-Denkmünze für 1914/18).
And as far as I know I'm not that much good at inter-war awards, after the creation of 'Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914-1918' which is located on the 3rd from the left, it was not permitted to wear 'Kyffhäuser-Denkmünze für 1914/18'
But the medal bar has both I can insist this is totally wrong also in the description it says 'No repairs , no damage', since the awards orders are wrong we can easily assume someone put the second medal in later, you can spot he or she sewed on it if you take a look at detailed photo on the website.
Yet although there was an error can be easily spotted they just put them on sale with 'No repairs , no damage' for 175EUR, we can't put a price on history but I personally think this is not that much good prices for putting up a stuff with defection and insisting it's has no damage even if it has issue.
And I know that Giels militaria is putting a great job on world war 2 medals, even if they are only specialized on TR awards but this is pretty disrespectful on WWI and German states collecting area, I mean it's so easy to notice it is wrong and at least can say it was modified.
So I'm planning a little restoration plan on this medal bar if it's possible to get them for fair price since I have wearers copy(Zweitstück) type of Waldeck Verdientkreuz but many of you would point out it would be more likely to be Reuss state medal and I also think so, but I don't have any Reuss state medals and I think I'm the only one willing to restore this, so Waldeck seems fair enough and it was supposed to be on medal bar because of its type.
Regards to this matter I would appreciate some advice on restoring medal bars and any comments or concerns are welcome, also I don't mean to call a name on Giels militaria but what it is, is what it is. Even though they got lot of brilliant EKs.
And if my restoration project get arranged I'm willing to post the process here.
So thank you have a great day fellow Kaiserzeit collectors now I have college to attand..
