    EK2 ribbon for review

    Hello,

I am looking for opinions on the originality of this ribbon.
Sorry, EKII ribbon, can't change the title.

    Regards,

    Gus

Very hard to judge from the photos. Looks thin, maybe 25mm. I'd say it may be a WWII-era medalbar wrap, or could be postwar. Have you done a blacklight or burn test?
    Best regards,

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

It passed the black light test and I burned about 1/2in piece. The fabric did not melt but burned very quickly turning into black ash and smelled like burnt paper.

I don't collect WWI, I just need this ribbon for an EKII spange.

      Gus

        Hi,

Agreed with Trevor. For me the ribbon looks old, but not from WW1 era. Possibly 1930's or 40's. But always better to have them in hand...

        regards

Thanks for the comments. I am assuming this is good to marry up with the spange then?

If you mean medal bar by "spange", then it is ideal.
But if you mean Repetition clasp, it would be too narrow for full size clasp and ideal for Prinzen clasp.
