Imperial black and silver wound badges

    Fellow Members,
I recently acquired a Black and a Silver wound badge and would like your opinions. Is there a way to tell who were the makers lacking any marks?

    Thank you,
    Artillero

Both are black. Not possible to Id a maker. Are they magnetic?

        Gentlemen,
Thank you for your responses. They are both magnetic. I take it that they are both genuine then?
I guess the lighting of my fotos wasn't very good but the one on the right is actually quite silver in color when held in person, unless you are saying that there is some structural difference between black and silver badges. The one on the right is also a bit more defined in detail.

        Regards,
        Artillero

          Hi Artillero,

nothing to do with the lighting, it is simply that the black has pretty much rubbed off and the steel shows. Look at the leaves, you can still see that this was (and still is) a good example of a black wound badge.

Indeed both good, probable war time, but no one knows for sure.
