Silberne Verdienstmedaille des Herzoglich Sachsen-Ernestinischen Hausordens

Hi guys!

I tried searching the for this medal: Silberne Verdienstmedaille des Herzoglich Sachs, and deen-Ernestinischen Hausordens, but I only found ones with swords and I have this one without swords. Weight is 15 grams and details are very sharp, the pics are blurry, but the medal is sharp. Is it okay without swords or is it supposed to have swords?

H&S 1778a and OEK 2544 correct?

My read in both of these tomes does not mention a "without" swords issue.

I am not convinced that means there wasn't a "without swords" issue, but it would be more convincing if there were materials or period documentation that confirmed the no swords version.

More research is necessary, or there may be members here that can confirm this fact.
