A very fine group indeed, I congratulate.

Just a note on the beautiful, Austrian Militärverdienstkreuz II Kl. with "War Decoration": it wasn't actually "made" by R. Marschall. Professor Rudolf Marschall was the designer of this award and his mark/signature testified the authorized production (he got royalties).

The producers of the "authorized" MVK II and I Class were Messrs. Souval of Vienna (well-known to III Reich collectors for their post-1945 copies).

Inside the loop is marked 585

The cross appears to be marked DEB.H. 750

It is GEB.H. for the maker Gebrüder (Brothers) Hemmerle in Munich. Certainly, GH are initials of the same maker
