Like to show two " good" 1870 crosses from my 1870 collection, an A and B type.
A - type = From Wagner and is accepted as the rewarded piece
B - type = From Godet as "replacement" or private purchase one. The core has a crack, this is not uncommon by 1870 crosses, because of the high phosphate content of the casting material at that time.
I am not an expert, just a collector, most what I learned about these crosses is here at the forum, so please correct me if I am wrong![thumbsup](https://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/core/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
