Imperial Flight School Silver Cigarette Case

Given to a Lieutenant with a wonderful name in March, 1917 in appreciation.

Flight School must have been quite interesting at that point of development of Aerial Warfare.

            Scott,

No, I just used them for photo effect.

            Hope that is OK.

            Best regards,

              inscription

The dedication actually states the Lt.'s name Richter and then says "to his wingman in thanks" and the school.

You happy that your pilot badge is good , the metal one that is. Looks like a classic spoke less wheel copy to my eye. Also seen lots of cloth variant copies just like that one, not wanting to be alarmist but beware ! Ferg
