It does look proffesionally mounted and period. I've seen a similiar style on later German bars, but I can't exactly tell in which region it was done in. Interesting

Gosh, from a variety of sources: Estand,Ebay,and a few I have acquired when in Germany. There are several good online dealers I buy from in Germany as well: HB-militaria and Marinesammler come to mind.
