Here is my first medal bar. For those of you who know me, I collect WWI veteran and reservist items. I have been thinking about getting a few veteran type medal bars and a good friend in Germany offered this one to me out of his collection. SO--here is my first--more picks later when it gets to it's new home. Interesting that it has a Wurttemburg Silver Bravery medal and no EKII. OH--any clue what the second medal is?? Thanks, Mike

I think he didn't had an EKII. Maybe thats the reason why he pinned all these unofficial veterans association medals on his chest. The Württemberg long service seems to be the first type made from gold-plated brass. The late-war type was made from blackened iron. A nice bar and I also like the austrian cross and the medal right to it ("Deutsche Ehrendenkmünze des Weltkrieges") which is in my opinion one of the most beautiful of the common veterans medals like the Kyffhäuser medal etc. The "Ehrendenkmünze" is very nice and detailed; you can even see the ammo pouches etc. of the soldier on it!
