Best Books on ID-ing makers of EK2 1914????

    Hi Guys,

After having to ask you guys for opinions on EK2s quite frequently I would like to know what are the best books on ID-ing makers of EK2 1914 - so I can school myself a bit better on this subject. Thanks for any suggestions.

    Cheers, W

      Hi Don,

Thanks for that link. While very useful and something I will be using, I definitely prefer to have something in print as well - being an old school kind of guy. So please some suggestions on books.

How are those two volumes on the EK by Verlag Militaria for identifying EK2 1914 makers?

      Cheers, W

They are good but too heavy to lug around and expensive as well.

Well if you know of a better one that is less weighty and cheaper, I am all ears!

              Hi,

I don't suppose, that you find a better book as this one of by Frank Wernitz (issued by Militaria Verlag in Vienna). I am really a great fan of this book

Sure, you can not take them into your pocket but 150 € for two A4+ volumes of very high quality (both, text nad pictures) is not very expensive IMO. In the Vol. I you find the history of EK and their production, Vol. II contains the typology. Total over 1600 (!) pictures.

              greetings
              Tomasz
