    Opinions on WWI medal bar

    Hi Guys,

Please share your opinions on this medal bar with me.

I assume the EK2 is a fake - correct? What about the other medals and the ribbons?

    Cheers, W

Its good, EK looks to be a KO in fine condition. Why think its a fake?

Just thought the details on the back of the cross where rather thick and really close together - making it a bit undefined - however I am not an EK2 expert so sided on the side of caution.

Cross is good as others said. I just don´t think it´s a KO. Looks to me different frame. KO was not the only maker who used platform for jumpring. Anyway, the ribbon is loose around the ribbon ring so you can check it by yourself. When it is KO, then there should be a KO mark on the ring.

Everyone thanks for all the feedback. Quick and to the point. Medal bar is now part of my collection. I am going to spend some more time on studying the various versions of the 1914 EK2.

                      Hi Hagrid,

Thanks for the suggestion and it looks like a very good source if you are interested in EKs 1939. As far as I can tell there is nothing on the EK2 1914.

                      Cheers, W

                        Nice!

I would not be surprised if this EK2 would be marked "S" on the ring. As a frame like that is what I used to see on S marked crosses.

Typical saxon bar - may be a piece of Brookmann/Westmann

May be a guy of the Ulanen Regiment Nr. 17
