Iron cross from flea market un known makers mark

I picked up this cross at a flea market and don't know what the makers mark is. Maybe someone can tell me who has seen it before.

So someone had it on a Key chain? Maybe an N or a Z difficult to tell

I would say Z, N would be turned 90 deg. other way.

      Check this reference:

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=292270

The obverse has many similarities with the type shown above, but reverse is different. But things like that happen in imperial EKs, makers getting cores and frames from different producers and so on.

For more comprehensive identification, you can go thru references here

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=263078

but the database is far from complete.

        Hi,

agreed, most possibly here is manufacturer's mark "Z".

According to Wernitz (Das Eiserne Kreuz 1813-1870-1914), this MM is attributed to H. Zehn, Goldschmied und Ordensfabrikant, Berlin

        greetings
        Tomasz
