Major Hugo Riemann awarded with ?

I got this beautiful pic in the mail yesterday, I is signed on back and I think his name is Major Hugo Riemann Inf Rgt 139, service at War-ministery in Berlin 1917

He has a very nice ribbon bar with ? the second one is a for me
a crown ? anybody who can help me ?

Hello Christer,
second is his Red Eagle 4th class with Crown. He is shown with it in the Prussian ranklist 1913 as a Hauptmann in IR 138, seniority 13.9.06 V3v.

Sometimes the most obvious is the hardest to see, an RAO!
I looked through all my books and on the Net for a ribbon with a crown on it
but missed this one !

It will be interesting if anyone finds out something more about the good Major

Hi Christer,

thats a bit better. I am quite conviced now, Nr. 3 is a Crown Order(light blue). Nr. 5 is a Long Service ribbon (dark blue), Sorry, still no idea about 6 and 7. I am sure, my mentor will kill me for not knowing that, but i still need a new Nimmergut Bänderkatalog

Hugo Riemer?

Christer, is there any particular reason why you think he was called Hugo? If one back tracks through the promotions of Hptm Riemer of I.R. 138 (Hptm. 13.9.06 V3v) one eventually arrives at Sekonde-Lieutenant (22.8.91) Curt Riemer of I.R 95.

in 1900 both a Curt and a Erich Riemer were serving in I.R. 95, hence the first names are listed. By 1914 only the senior of the two (Curt) is still serving.

3rd should be the Centenary medal, 5th remains ???, but it is nothing Prussian IMO, 6 and 7 - thanks to Glenn´s spot on IR 95 - might be Saxon- Ernestinian knight with swords and a Coburg Jubilee medal.

19.11.1915 Major Riemann (KompChef in IR 138 BUT no first name listed ) awarded BMVO with Crown and Swords.
