    ID Badge (Austria)??

Ran across this badge along with 9 medals. I can find similar medals but not this one.I don't mess with Imperial Awards so I'm lost.
Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks David R.

I found it online in about 30 seconds just by typing "Hungarian Badges" in Google. I guess it helps to know it's Hungarian.

While a nice looking badge, it's not scarce. It was awarded right through to 1944 during the Horthy regime. Many German officers were awarded this badge in WWII.

Here's one for $190 at eMedals, which means in reality it's worth about $100-125, as eMedals is always over-priced.

It's a badge for status or duty, not an award. I've never seen this one on German soldiers, if you have one I would like to see it if possible.
The value in Hungary is about 60-90 USD depending on the condition, maybe more in the US, yours is really nice The green wool behind the badge indicates it was worn by a Pioneer Officer.

As soon as I found out it was Hungarian it was easy to find. But until then not so much.
