    Identification Assistance.

    Hello All,

First, I am not an Imperial collector, so make no claims to know squat about the subject. OK, now that I have that out of the way, I have a question. Would you folks here at this forum have a problem with me listing what could be several Imperial (WWI) medals for identification??

The reason I ask is that I have been asked by a co-worker to assist his "club" of aviation buffs in identifying, and cataloging, some of these medals. I have often bragged about our great site here, thus the request. He's been after me for a couple of years to do this and they have "many" medals just thrown into drawers. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the group off the top of my head, but they had some beautiful displays set up at "Wings Over The Rockies" museum a few years ago, and have now moved to a location I think north of Denver.

Anyway, I told him I obviously have no knowledge of these decorations, and if it was made easy for me (no driving all over God's creation), and some of you guys were agreeable, I might give it a go. I can tell you, the last time I visited, while they were still at Wings Over The Rockies, they had A LOT of items that were sadly thrown together in drawers.

Anyway, I was just looking around here and I thought about it again. Who know's, could be a bunch of junk, or something very interesting.

    Thanks.

This is a very exclusive club, and you must pay your dues. Send me a check for $500...

Post away, my friend, and welcome aboard!!! We would love to see what possible treasure lurks in them thar drawers.

        Thanks Guys!!

Ralph, I'm especially glad you responded, your collection is amazing. Greg, I didn't know you were into imperial.

Anyway, I'll get in touch with him and make arrangements to get some of the stuff together. I do know they had some very nice EK's (my thing). They also had a very nice PLM, that I believe was a copy from around the 1930's.

        Thanks again.
