    Thanks for the replies. Happy that the iron cross is original.
    Too bad the bar is messed with.

    What's wise to do? take the iron cross off and replace it with a 1914 cross? Or leave it like it's found?

      It won´t be easy with all that thread around...
      Plus, if this bar, though nicely done, is modern made, attaching the Iron cross 1914 won´t make it original.

      Btw, can we see the back of the bar?
