Is This WWI Badge a "Keeper"

Well I think I have finally found A 1918 Ubootkriegsabzeichen.I understand that his reputation is good, but I just want to be careful.Pin looks a lil wonky to me in that it is not the "Typical Pin" that you see on Schott Badges.I have not got it yet.Subject line says it all Real or Return?Yeesh!! Talk about the cart before the Horse!!!https://www.flickr.com/photos/67393635@N00/30849953276/

      It's Good.

I like the fact that it does not look like a "cast" bronze piece. The Schot stamping looks good. The pin and catch, while not the sturdiest I've seen, looks ok.

So would it be fair to say that it is not a 1918 piece? No worries if that is the case.

This maker was making them in 1918 like that. No one can say for sure if it is 1918 or 1920 etc. They kept making them at the end of WW1 and after. That one is a nice original and with every chance of being made in 1918

Maybe a little better view of the front?
