Albert the Bear

I saw this Order of Albert the Bear on the net and thought I would post. I've never handled a real one and was hoping to get some comments if people thought it was good or bad. It is supposed to be made of silver which should be correct. I personally don't see anything wrong with it but other people's opinions do count.

These don't come along very often. I looked back through some old threads
to see what what has been posted before. I don't see anything that looks like
an obvious read flag but like you, I have never handled one in person.

Me neither, it's on my list to her hold of. The only thing I could say is patina looks a bit weird, but other silver awards often have strange toneing depending on how they were stored so it's not a reason to suspect it.

I consider these a major mine field. These were given out until fairly recently and may still be available. If you have enough money you can become Anhalt royalty. There is a good book available on these but I believe it is only in German. Be careful!
