    EK2 signed SILBER and WA

    Please opinion on this EK2.
Cross signed SILBER on the big circle and signed WA on a small circle.
Unfortunately, I have only such pictures.
Is the signature SILBER is okay?

    best regards
    Maciej

      Very nice cross
J.H. Werner marked his crosses mostly in the small ring with We, but than again, after a closer look, its an A? The mark SILBER you see often by Zimmerman EKI crosses!

        Thank you for opinion
Unfortunately, I only have such pictures. It seems to me that this is the signature WA.
I understand that signature SILBER on the large circle is in order?

        best regards

The mark is definitely We, just partially struck. Can you please post straight on pics?

If you have opportunity to buy this cross, I recommend you to do it. To me it looks like cross from Hansen family. I studied this type, so it is not just a simple opinion.

I am preparing short presentation about these "Hansen family" EK2 crosses. So far they appeared with four (4) types of markings and three types of core. Two of them are typical Hansen cores, so easily identified, but this one is harder as it uses generic core, known from crosses by many other makers (KO, HB, etc), but seen also in Hansen frame.

Posting you my "We" cross with identical frame and typical Hansen core.

Thanks for showing it, Greg. If I see correctly, the core on your cross is pebbled as on mine.
Wondering, whether it is as thin as on mine, that the frame looks like father´s coat on his son...

Thank you for all your opinions.
I wonder all the time signature SILBER. I never before such never met. Even on the crosses Zimermann was different.

                    best regards

I am also curious. But sometimes it takes time and luck to find a piece to compare. For now........you have a nice and rare cross
