My knowledge with 1813 is Limited, but I do like your 1813 EK2.

The frame looks like a very worn multipiece frame, the core matches the originals of that type , and is cast with a bit cooler iron which resulted in a bit lack of details on the core IMO. Looks like one of the earlier crosses.

That's my opinion, let's await at someone who has studied a bit longer than I the 1813.

The trifold ribbon is from a 1914 cross.

            Hello,

the EK-II corresponds (apparently, with differences to the crown) to those, described and illustrated as "C 1" and "C 3" in Friedhelm Heyde: "Das Eiserne Kreuz 1813 - 1870 - 1914 / Preußen-Sammlung Max Aurich Band 1 - Teil C"; Osnabrück, Biblio Verlag, 1980.

The ribbon is an Austrian-type one, dating from WW1.

The miniature could be fom the last quarter of 19th Century.

            Best wishes,

            E.L.

I agree. I like the cross and I also do not believe the ribbon is original to it.
The mini is probably a 1914 (perhaps 1870) that has been converted to a
              1813.

Miniature cross and other awards really did not show up until after 1870 and
I'm guessing most came along during the time of the Jubilee. ( 1895 ).

Enzo is right here in my opinion, this mini is a 1870-one...

                    hey guys,

after some discussions (most positiv) with other collectors i want post more photos from the cross. I need more opionons about the cross/frame because i want to play save and hope all is ok with the cross....

one pic is a "sandwich" ..outside a 1870 and a 1914 cross ...1813 in the middle

                    thank you,
