Nice cross with a beautiful patina

I wonder if there is also a mark (L) on the back site of the needle near the needle block.

That is a clear L

I have checked my WS marked cross and have a M at almost the same place!

maybe these were made in batches. so you would have L lots marked first an M lots marked later. Or else these would promptly help identify the craftman involved in the making.

who knows.
