    K98 Pouch

Picked this up this week, how desirable are these and how difficult to find?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hello John,

Cartridge pouches in this condition and with the postwar added aluminum rivets are not worth much on the collector market. Surplus pouches were sold off after the war and were refirbish in serveral countries. Unaltered WWI pouches are not too difficult to find. Something like you have here would be more suited to the reenactor market and would compete price-wise with reproduction pouches.

    Regards,
    Chip

      Thanks Chip.

This pouch was picked up during WWII by a US soldier and sent home with WWII German insignia and helmets. So am thinking the aluminum rivets are Weimar period repairs.
