Help needed for ribbon bar IDs

    Hello all
Can anyone please assist me in identifying the exact awards/classes of these ribbon bar awards. The bar has been identified as belonging to Major Hermann Mueller Brand adj to Prince Rupprecht.

I've had a go at identifying them myself but am not sure if am correct. Please can anyone help and correct me if I'm wrong or identify the class of each award.

    I think they are

    Bavarian Order of Military Merit
    Prussian Iron Cross 2nd Class
Baden Order of the Zahringen Lion
    Saxony Order of Albert
    Order of Saxe Ernestine
    Wuttermberg Order of Frederick
Austrian Military Merit Cross with War Decoration

    Any help greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Gary

    Hello Ramster;

Yes, you essentially have the correct identification of the ribbons. I would add the "with Swords" to your descriptions.

However, I don't believe this was owned by Major Hermann Mueller Brand adj to Prince Rupprecht. It is incorrect to be him. Major Brand may have had a shorter ribbon bar made for himself, but this one has an error. Have you tried a blacklight on the threads?

Where did you get the bar?

      Hi
Thanks for your reply. It was bought of the estand recently. From a very good source and confirmed by others too. I haven't tried the blacklight yet as only just got it but that would be my next task
      Thanks

The blacklight results are NOT definitive. If positive, then it is a fake, if negative, it might be true, but it also could be that the fakers used period threads.

I was focused on a different "tell" and I don't want to discuss it on a public forum.

The bar passed the blacklight test with flying colours. Compared with a modern cotton the difference was obvious.
Whilst this is not conclusive by any means, the fact that I know where the bar has come from, who researched it and from 2 other independent positive experienced bar collectors who say it is good, I'm pretty convinced this is the real deal.

          Cheers
          Gary
