    Imperial tank badge.

    Hi guys....

I want to run this by you.
It's an Imperial Tank badge. My understanding is that these were private purchase items available upon showing the award document.
This example is of hollow two piece construction. A die struck cliche front with a backplate soldered to it. The hinge block and pin catch are soldered directly to the backing plate.
For now these are the only two pics that I have available for now.
    Any thoughts and comments welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

Personally I don't like these. The squared off hinge reminds me of post war fakes. They are built like the flight badges that are known to be period. Just my opinion.

Here are the "chaos" areas from two Juncker badges, one mint from a Berlin Vet's estate and the other worn. Note the details are very sharp.

      Nice closeups Don.

I will try and post clearer pics. In hand the detail seems better than the pics I posted.
What would be the time frame for these badges?
I know the hardware looks TR era.

I'd like to see close ups of the hinge/catch as well.
