    Stosstruppe's MP18

    Hi there!

I've come across with this wonderful image. I'm head editor of the italian militaria magazine Uniformi and I would like to publish it on the cover of the next issue.

I need to contact the original owner (I hope that sailing on this forum) and ask to him if he could be interested in publish in on the cover of the magazine and send me it in high resolution (300dpi).

If somebody know him, please help me!

    Best regards,

If not a period foto I hope the man replaced the filter of his gasmask with a modern reproduction that didn't use asbestos in the filter. One should never use a period filter attached to the gasmask. It can cause breathing problems from exposure to asbestos!!!!

Reenactors usually are and the Osprey drawings were keen to show us such generous equipments, weapons and badges.
Period pictures seem to be much more unadorned...

(but it's a nice pic however)

          WWI Photo

          Hi Frank

The photo comes from this book:

          http://www.crowood.com/details.asp?i...ur-Photographs

It might be worth contacting the publisher via that website, as they're probably the copyright holder of that image.

          Good luck, all the best

          Paul.

            Hi!

Many, many, many thanks paul! You've been really precious!

I'll contact the editor. You (or somebody else) know the author Robert Bruce?

            Best regards,

              Robert Bruce

              Hi Frank

The book is almost 20 years old -from memory I think Robert Bruce is ex-US Army, so I wonder if it might be worth you posting the same question on the firearms forum as there might be some US members who know him?

              Good luck, all the best

              Paul.
