I have been offered this badge and wanted some opinions on it before purchasing it. I saw an old posting for a similiar one, but I am unsure of the "age" on the back of this one.

IMO this is a nice genuine example But better lets wait for stogieman, he knows a lot about Imperial flight badges.

I am no expert, but I do like the badge, to my knowledge these have not been overly faked as the hallmarked silver pieces that we see so often. In my opinion the 3 piece type is less common than the two piece cliche types, and the silver hollow types. If you are referring to the coloring "age" on the silver, I think this may be due to a chemical cleaning at one time, though probably long ago. Any marks? Wait for other opinions as well before basing your decision on mine alone.

I agree!

I concur with David. Issue piece, probably Juncker.... condition stinks... some tarnish, some blech
But, most assuredly real. Now the question is, value? In this condition, I would not advise spending more than $200-250.... I know where there's a nice minty one for $350 and it's probably a little on the low side.
If it's reasonable, I'd buy it. The seller is local to me, but I've never bumped into him. (You can tell from your link ).... but I wouldn't advise cleaning it!
