Gentlemen,

this example came out of a Berlin household today. Had been laying in the bits and bobs draw for at least the last 20years.

i´ve done a search on the forum but there does´nt seem to be a lot of info about these. Certainly no examples that look like this one.

Research has led me to believe that these were widely made by different jewlers or badge manufacturers, so probably very difficult to authenticate.

I´d like to tap into the wide knowledge of the members here and ask if anybody has ever seen one like this.

The reverse.


I believe these were not officially issued. In fact i believe that certificates were only awarded sometime in the 20s, during the weimer Republic, and then the awardees had to have the badges made up themselves.
