Dale, this is a buttoniere if I'm not mistaken (GC of the North Star, Sweden).

Actually "button hole" is pretty close. My Godet catalog refers to these as
"knopfloch orden" which I believe translates to button hole medal and my
Deumer catalog calls them "Ordenknopfe" or medal button.
