          What is the metal canister in the back row next to the French canteen? The one with the wording pressed into the lid. Also, could I see a better picture of the black projectile that is to the right of the large painted round?

            The big canister is a strange field grey can with the inscription "Seelberg" on the lid. I got it together with some other old cans from that era. Maybe for a field kitchen or whatever it was used for. The black round is a 91,3 mm "Lanz-Mine" which was a small trench mortar. I will post pics and informations about this weapon tomorrow.

                    Wow ! Just Great, I love to see theese "alternative " items , sometimes you get almost tired of looking at pics of $$$$$$$ Orders and medal bars.

                    This is what the ordinarie soldier used.lived and died with.

                            Ok, it is not german but this a really cool candleholder made from a french Citron Foug 1916 handgrenade and parts from a brass shell case.
